Important Information on Changes in File Handling for Integrations❗️

We would like to inform you about a significant change concerning the submission of attachments to Business NXT. It is crucial that all integrations now send files to the file service and not to the database. This becomes especially important as we move all files away from the database. The work is planned to start from June 14 and is an important measure to clean up document storage and display of attachments in Business NXT. 

For the time being, there will not be a block on submitting attachments with the method used so far.

What needs to be done:

• Ensure that existing integrations are updated to deliver files to the file service.
• Partners must assess and ensure that their customers are ready for this change.

Why do I need to be concerned about where you store documents..? And why does the linked article use the wording "if you want, you can use", not that I have to use?

And also the last comment "In the future, the Voucher.AddNewDocument processing may be updated to transfer the document to the file service directly without needing to execute the second processing explicitly."

Why is that not part of the process now, so that I, as API consumer, do not have to do any changes?

I second this. This is an implementation detail that we as api consumers should’t have to care about.
