Performance Management 2019-04 en-GB (V3)

This document describes the new functionality and improvements introduced by this release. Some of these changes have been inspired by messages and reports from customers. Where relevant, we have included a number in the section title to refer to the identification of the message (change .....) in question in our system.

New

A customer-defined name for Performance Management

Why

Customers want to give a custom name to the Performance Management module.

How

We added the possibility to change the application name into any desired organization-specific terminology. The changed name will reflect in the Youforce Portal tile and in the application at all places where the application name is used.

Example: the application name in the header will be changed.

Your action

Follow the necessary steps to change the name of Performance management into the name you want.

  • Login to Performance management
  • Navigate to Settings
  • Under Organization specific terminology select Other terminology. You can define the name of the application, as shown below.

Please take care of the following:

  • The name on the portal tile will be changed one night after the name was changed in the application due to caching mechanisms.
  • The name reflected on the portal tile has limitations in terms of text length.
    If a word, separated by a space, does not fit on the same line it will appear on the next line. There are three lines available.
    It is not possible to define a maximum amount of characters because non-proportional fonts are used. Example: a "W" consumes more space than an "i".


    Here some examples of terms to use and how they are presented in the tile.
    If you are not sure whether your specific name will fit on the tile, please contact your HCM consultant. They have tools to check whether the name will fit on the tile or not.
  • The new name will not reflect in Email templates automatically. Administrators can change this in the Email Templates menu item.


    Under Management | Device | Email templates you can change the content of the email including the custom name.

Solved Changes

Long name of employee causes issues in loading employee overview (change #1225195)

Message

Long Employee Name (more than 50 characters) were not supported in the Employee Overview Page.

Solution

In this page, we will now present the Employee name up to 100 characters.

Text in textboxes in reviews were limited to 1000 characters (change #1225195)

Message

Customers want to use more than 1000 characters in textboxes.

Solution

From now on Customers can add more than 1000 characters in the description of a Review.



Translate conversation pointers (change #999343)

Message

In Performance management, the Dutch translation for organization-specific terminology terms was overwritten with English, in case English translation was applied. When system language was changed from Dutch to English and translation option was used ("Translate" button in organization-specific terminology terms window), the English translation (en-GB field value) was saved with a link to NL language translation identifier. As a result - every organization-specific terminology term translation, added to en-GB field, when system language is not English, was saved as translation in the Dutch language.

Solution

The update-procedure on language identifiers is now changed (values en-GB, nl-NL etc). Translations are now applied to correct language.
