In shipments, you can setup the Transfer Type to 2-Step. This is use full when you use Transfer orders.
If you do that, you receive an extra step in the Action menu: "Update IN". And you must use it to update your stock quantity.
In the API there are actions confirm- and correct-shipment, but updateInventory is missing. Is it forgotten or is there a other way to handle this?
